Finally.
Already?
Yeah, it's been like that. Time alternately appearing to stand still and rocket ahead like a spooked cat. I think it's a function of growing older, you know? Our lives are filled with so much...stuff. We're doing so much, the time just passes us by. Not like when we were kids and a summer could seem like an eternity.
But, hey. That, as they say, is the biz, sweetheart. 2015 was a rough one. At times, anyway. Life stuff got in the way, as life stuff is wont to do, and what can't be changed must be endured. As they also say. So I endured, and eventually, I got through it. Ended the year on a high note, even!
My day job has changed, giving me more time to do the thing I love most, which is to write and draw. I've been able to read for pleasure for the first time in a long time (I just finished the first book of the year: "Son of the Endless Night," by John Farris. An old book, but well worth the read if you're looking for something), and I'm giddy with delight that I've got pick something new to read!
I'm wrapping up writing for "Arkham Investigator," the RPG by 8th Summit Games. It's been fun as hell, and educational, and I can't wait to see it in print. I've got my own writing that I'm anxious to get back into. Conventions on the horizon. Seriously, folks, things are just dandy, where I'm sitting. My commitment to honing my craft and getting my work out there is stronger than ever. I'm not naive enough to forget that life stuff is out there, just waiting for the next chance to sucker punch me with surprises, but I feel really good about where I am now, and where I'm headed.
So, that's that. I'm working hard, keeping it positive, and looking ahead.
Go, and do thou likewise. Till next time, have a wonderful New Year!
Peace,
Chris
