![]() Hi, Gang-
For those of you who didn't know, Hellraiser is one of my all-time favorite movies, starring Doug Bradley as one of the greatest movie villains (IMHO) of all time. Mr. Bradley was at Dragon Con, this year, and though I wasn't able to make it this time, best friend and creator of Scairy Tales and Fried Pickle Noir, J.R. Mounts, was awesome enough to get me an autographed picture of Doug Bradley as Pinhead as an early birthday present! It may be hard to read, but Mr. Bradley wrote "Happy Birthday! See you in Hell..." How friggin' awesome is that! Seriously, I cannot think of a better way to start the annual 60 Days of Halloween (and yes, I know there are actually 61 days from September 1 to October 31, but just go with it, okay? Cut me some friggin' slack!) than with sharing this photo. And BT-Dubbs, in case you're wondering, the 60 Days thing came about a few years ago, when J.R. and I were lamenting the fact that life often got in the way of fully enjoying our favorite holiday, to the point that, by the time we had gotten to Halloween, we hadn't seen half the horror movies we'd wanted to see, or done much else, Halloween related. The answer? Make it longer! Not just one day, but two whole months of scary goodness! Our wives roll their eyes constantly, but J.R. and I are in hog heaven, come September 1. In fact, we're making the 60 Days an official event, and taking it national, baby! That's right, we want you to celebrate with us, so stay tuned for details on how you can get in on the fun! Peace, Chris
